Author Terry Odell has summarized Linda Howard's presentation on portraying sex and sexual intimacy in novels. A very useful read. Howard, a fan of anthropologist Desmond Morris, discusses his theories on the development of sexual behavior in order to ensure the survival of the human species. No, this is does not me simply mating for procreation. Instead, she talks about choosing, bonding and creating a family with a mate. Howard's popular characters are created using this mold.
